Transfer to

ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï Mid-Year

Learn how we transition students with courses in
process at other schools

ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï makes it possible for students to transition late in the school year and still complete courses on time, prior to the start of the following school year.

ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï accelerates learning by quickly moving students through content they have already learned while giving them time to master new concepts. ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï is capable of rapidly identifying student proficiency in a subject and quickly advances them to the next lesson in cases where the student demonstrates that they understand the material.

We recommend that parents complete the following steps when transitioning a student into ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï mid-year:

1. Enroll Your Student in Comparable Courses

Parents should enroll their student in classes that are comparable to courses their student was taking at their previous school. ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï offers a wide variety of courses that range in grade levels K-12.

The ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï curriculum is standards-based so many of its core courses are comparable to the courses offered at other accredited public and private schools.

During the enrollment process, parents will have the ability to choose their student’s courses and can select the classes that are most comparable.

2. Set Progress Goals for Timely Completion

To help students stay on track and finish their courses on time, parents can customize weekly progress goals for each course. Since each course is self-paced, parents have the freedom to determine the schedule and pace that best suits their student.

Some parents prefer to have all courses completed by late spring while other parents allow their student to take additional time during summer. Once the weekly goal has been customized, the student will be informed of how many steps they need to complete per week to be on track.

3. Accelerate Through Lessons Your Student Already Mastered

Once your student is enrolled, the ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï system will begin by reviewing concepts to find what your student already knows, then quickly advances on to concepts they haven’t mastered yet. This process allows students to remain on track for completing courses by the end of the year while addressing potential holes in crucial foundational knowledge.

If your student is significantly behind or has numerous gaps in their foundational understanding, ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï Vectored Instruction will detect the deficiencies and immediately respond with customized instruction to fill in the gap so they can move forward in their course.

Do You Plan to Transition back to Traditional School?

Some parents turn to online schooling as a temporary measure to help a student overcome challenges and remain on track.

If you plan on returning to a traditional school, your student’s official ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï transcript will list all of your student’s completed courses and grades. Instructions on how to request an ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï transcript can be found here.

ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï is fully-accredited by WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges), a regional accreditation agency that accredits thousands of public and private schools.

Since every school has their own requirements regarding transfer credits, we recommend contacting the school in advance to confirm that the courses you intend to enroll your student in will transfer.

Roger Billings Mentoring Program Scholarship

Dr. Roger Billings, ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï Chairman, has been a lifelong supporter of enhancing education.

To continue his efforts, Dr. Billings created the Roger Billings Scholarship Program as a way to support students enrolled in the ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï online school.

The program includes a scholarship as well as mentoring guidance from Dr. Billings himself. The scholarship gives financial assistance to kindergarten through high school students who are enrolled in ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï. To qualify for the scholarship program, students must agree to participate in weekly lectures, which are broadcast via the Internet, while they are taking online classes through ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï.
